Air Algérie orders 16 ATR 72-600s in fleet modernization push

Regional plane maker ATR said on Wednesday it secured an order from Algeria's flag carrier Air Algérie for 16 new ATR 72-600 turboprops, including Africa's first simulator for the model, expanding a partnership dating back two decades. The fuel-efficient aircraft with PW127XT engines supports Air Algérie's sustainability goals, ATR said.
