Algeria was elected to the African Union (AU) Peace and Security Council (PSC) for a three-year term, during meetings held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Tuesday, as part of the 24th Extraordinary Session of the Executive Council of the Pan-African Organization. The AU’s PSC is made up of 15 members and plays a central role in managing crises across the continent.
