Algeria joins World Boxing to help keep sport in the Olympics
A month after Imane Khelif won gold in women's boxing at the Paris Olympics, Algeria has joined the
Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, the UAE, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman met in person on the sidelines of the recent 37th OPEC and non-OPEC countries Ministerial Meeting. It comes after voluntary cuts in April & November 2023 to reduce output. These countries will extend their additional voluntary cuts of 2.2 million barrels a day until September 2024 – thereafter the voluntary cut will be phased out completely by September 2025.
