According to a presidency statement, Algeria’s leader has replaced his prime minister Nadir Larbaoui, with Industry Minister Sifi Ghrieb who has been appointed as interim prime minister. No reason was provided for the decision. AFP reported that Larbaoui’s absence from a recent meeting to discuss a bus accident that had killed 18 people in the North African country had drawn attention and criticism on social media.
