Algeria reinstates envoy to Spain after two-year dispute

According to the New Arab, Algeria has reinstated its envoy to Spain after a two-year-long diplomatic dispute with Madrid over its policy shift on Morocco Sahara.

Algerian diplomat Abdelfettah Daghmoum officially presented his credentials on April 8 to Spain's King Felipe VI, marking the restoration of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

In March 2022, Spain reversed decades of neutrality on Morocco Sahara by announcing its support for Rabat’s  autonomy plan for the disputed territory.
