Algeria seeks to ease tensions with France

On the eve of Algeria’s 63rd independence anniversary, its consulate in Nanterre signaled efforts to calm diplomatic tensions with France, Al Arab reported. Celebrations from July 1-6 will include sports, film screenings, debates, and a youth drawing contest under the slogan "Share, remember and live together”. The events, backed by Algerian and French groups, suggest a push to ease strained relations. Recent economic talks, including the Algeria Industrial Days, have fueled optimism.
