Algeria has suspended consular relations in Nice, Marseille, and Montpellier, ceasing services in response to France's deportations of Algerian migrants, according to Algerian newspaper El Khabar and French radio Europe 1. The move follows France's failure to admit an Algerian resident of 30 years back into Montpellier, with Algeria refusing to accept 23 nationals with French deportation orders. This decision halts identity verifications and issuance of expulsion passes for detained Algerian nationals in France.
