Egyptian-UK activist on hunger strike, now ill in prison
AFP reports that British Egyptian activist Alaa Abdel Fattah has become sick after spending more than 50 days on hunger
British consultancy firm Z/YEN and the China Development Institute (CDI) have ranked Casablanca 56th globally in their latest Global Financial Centres Index report. Casablanca kept its top spot as Africa’s leading financial hub, ahead of Mauritius, which ranked second on the continent and 58th globally. South Africa’s Cape Town and Johannesburg were ranked 84th and 88th worldwide, respectively, with Johannesburg experiencing a drop of 13 places within a year.
