Chinese Premier Li Qiang will travel to Brazil next week for the BRICS summit before heading to Egypt, Beijing's foreign ministry said on Wednesday. Li will attend the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro from July 5-8, with the bloc seen by Beijing and Moscow as a counterweight to Western dominance. BRICS, a grouping of Brazil, Russia, India, China and others, aims to boost cooperation among emerging economies. Li will visit Egypt from July 9-10 following the Brazil trip.
