CWP Global has reaffirmed its commitment to the Aman green hydrogen project in Mauritania, on Tuesday, according to various energy media outlets. CWP wrote in a Linked-In post that a lack of “clear and necessary legislation” globally was leading to uncertainty that would hinder the development of clean energy projects, but stressed it was “not a problem specific to Mauritania.” “There is no way we are going to withdraw from Mauritania,” the post read, adding that CWP is in discussions with the Mauritanian government and is engaged with the state-owned mining firm to explore decarbonizing the Zouerate mining region.
