Drillship capsizes in Red Sea, killing four

Marine traffic through Egypt’s Suez Canal was not affected by the capsizing of a drillship in the Red Sea, the canal authority said on Wednesday. The Admarine 12 capsized Tuesday evening in the Gulf of Suez, killing four crew, with three missing and 23 rescued, operator ADES said. The canal, a key global shipping route, remains open, with 33 vessels having passed by Wednesday afternoon, SCA chairman Osama Rabie said. The incident occurred 130 nautical miles south of the canal’s entrance.
