Egypt jails two Arab-Israelis for assault on hotel staff

An Egyptian court has sentenced two Arab Israeli men to five years of hard labor for assaulting hotel staff and vandalizing property at a Taba resort in August 2024, according to Egyptian media. The attack followed their refusal to pay for alcohol. One employee suffered permanent disability. The verdict, issued by South Sinai Criminal Court, is subject to appeal. The case has been referred for civil compensation.
