Egypt's Sisi accuses Israel of 'starvation, genocide' in Gaza

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Tuesday accused Israel of waging "a war of starvation and genocide" in Gaza, rejecting claims that Cairo blocked aid. "This war has surpassed any justification—it is now systematic genocide," Sisi said at a Cairo press conference with Vietnam's president. Israel launched its offensive after Hamas' October 7 attack, vowing to dismantle the group and free hostages. Sisi insisted Egypt facilitates aid but blamed Israeli restrictions for shortages.
