Egypt has appointed Hassan Rashad as the new head of its state intelligence agency, replacing Abbas Kamel, local media reported. Kamel, a longtime ally of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, will now serve as a presidential advisor, envoy, and general security coordinator.
