Libya eyes ceasefire after Tripoli clashes
Libya’s UN-backed government, led by Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah, said Monday it is pursuing a permanent ceasefire after clashes
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi met U.S. senior adviser Massad Boulos in Cairo on May 18 to discuss Middle East tensions. El-Sisi called for a Gaza ceasefire and renewed aid access, and backed political solutions in Libya, Sudan, and Yemen. Both sides stressed regional stability and deeper cooperation.
