The EU has imposed countervailing duties of up to 31.4% on Moroccan aluminium road wheels, citing unfair subsidies, including Chinese Belt and Road Initiative support, according to Moroccan media. The move aims to protect EU manufacturers and jobs. Despite these tariffs, Morocco continues to expand its role as a key automotive supplier to Europe.
