FIFA President Infantino is in Morocco as the country prepares to host several major tournaments in the coming years. According to local Moroccan media his visit could coincide with the official inauguration of FIFA’s regional office in Rabat, the first in North Africa. In a meeting with Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) President Fouzi Lekjaa, Infantino noted that “Morocco has become one of the world centers of football,” going on to say that “the Moroccan men’s and women’s teams play extraordinarily well and have incredible talents.” Local media reported that he also highlighted Morocco’s ability to host sporting events in a “spectacular” manner.
