Fitch Solutions: Morocco is America’s main ally in Africa

A recent report by Fitch Solutions, a leading market research firm, has classified Morocco as the sole African nation with a close relationship to the United States, as China extends continental influence. Despite China’s rapid economic expansion and its efforts to expand its influence in Africa, Morocco has remained firmly aligned with the US. While Morocco’s relationship with China has also grown in recent years, with bilateral trade surpassing $7 billion, the country’s strategic alignment with the US remains a defining feature of its foreign policy.
