Tunisia quits African human rights court
Tunisia has withdrawn from the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, a move condemned by rights groups as a
France's foreign minister urged foreign nations to cease supporting Sudan's warring factions during a visit to refugee camps in Chad on Thursday. Sudan has been embroiled in a civil war since April 2023, pitting the army, led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, against the Rapid Support Forces under General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo. Jean-Noel Barrot called on "foreign powers allied with the belligerents to stop adding fuel to the fire," refraining from naming specific countries.
