French court sentences Tunisian man to life imprisonment for knife attack

A French court has sentenced a Tunisian man to life in prison without parole for knife attack that killed three people within a church in Nice in 2020. This week, Brahim Aouissaoui, 25, admitted he was responsible for the attack but said that he could not recall exactly what happened. The attack on October 29, 2020, was one of several deadly incidents in France that have been blamed on Islamist extremists since 2015.
