According to forecasts released by the High Commission for Planning (HCP), the Moroccan economy is expected to grow by four percent in 2026, down from the 4.4% projected for 2025, with the agency citing global trade uncertainties. HCP based its projections on assumptions of an average wheat harvest and decreased foreign demand for Moroccan exports. The statistics agency went on to report that: "the fragmentation of international trade and persistent uncertainties are expected to weigh on the growth of trade in goods and services, thereby limiting the recovery of foreign demand directed at Morocco."
