The IMF has praised Morocco’s economic resilience despite recent setbacks such as the 2023 earthquake and water scarcity, saying the economy has grown by 3 % in 2023 due to strong exports and a rebound of domestic demand. In a press release issued Wednesday, the Fund’s Executive Board, said Morocco’s economic growth is expected to gradually pick up to 3,5 % over the next few years, boosted by the continued implementation of the structural reform agenda. Inflation fell over the course of 2023, mainly as the impact of supply shocks faded.
