Indirect truce talks between Israel and Hamas held in Cairo

According to Egypt’s Al Qahera News TV truce talks were set to resume in Cairo Sunday, the latest attempt to bring about a pause after nearly six months of war in the Gaza Strip. According to the Times of Isreal Prime Minister Netanyahu approved the departure of a delegation to Cairo after negotiations in Qatar collapsed last week; Hamas official however says they will wait to hear from Egyptians first. It comes as the Foreign Minsiters of Egypt, Jordan, and France convened in Cairo on Saturday, where they issued a joint call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
