In 2023, Algeria's expenditure in the energy sector surpassed $9 billion, marking an increase from $8 billion the previous year, according to statements made by Mohamed Arkab, the Algerian Energy Minister, on Monday.
Additionally, he noted that the revenue from fuel exports saw a 16% reduction, falling to approximately $50 billion, primarily as a result of the decrease in the average oil price.
