Israel resumes limited gas exports to Egypt after regional tensions

Israel has restarted limited natural gas exports from surplus supplies, the Energy Ministry said on Thursday, nearly a week after shutting key offshore fields amid tensions with Iran. A ministry spokesperson told Reuters exports are resuming "from surpluses, after domestic needs are met." Most gas is flowing to Jordan, with only "tiny volumes" reaching Egypt this week. Egyptian fertilizer producers, hit by supply disruptions, expect flows next week. Israel halted exports on June 13 after closing Chevron's Leviathan and Energean's Karish fields following military escalation.
