Libya eyes ceasefire after Tripoli clashes

Italy’s exports to Libya increased 34.2% in 2024, compared to the previous year, climbing to €2.27 billion according to the Italian Embassy in Tripoli. Driving this growth was the oil and gas sector, which recorded a 40.9% surge. Other key sectors included Italian machinery exports to Libya, which grew by 19.3%, agri-food products by 19%, furniture by 43.4%, chemicals and pharmaceuticals by 32.2%, and medical equipment by 44.7%.
