ITUC survey: Morocco one of 43 countries violating labor rights

According to the 2025 Global Rights Index by the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), Morocco is not fulfilling its promises to protect the freedom of unions and the right to strike. It comes after a strike law was passed by the Moroccan government in late December 2024, which did not consult the unions, and is seen by many as a direct attack on workers’ rights.
