Libya appoints Ali Al-Abed as acting Minister of Oil and Gas

Libya’s PM of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has assigned Ali Al-Abed, the current Minister of Labor, to take on the role of Minister of Oil and Gas. Al-Abed chaired a meeting on Monday to review operational and organizational challenges faced by the Ministry and the National Oil Corporation. The Libya Observer reported that  Al-Abed highlighted the need for “joint efforts across all sectors of the Ministry to advance the industry and confront its challenges with professionalism and responsibility.”
