UN warns some 25 million Sudanese risk famine without more donations

Libya has initiated operations of a new pipeline from its North Hamada oilfield, with an initial transfer capacity set at 2,000 barrels per day (bpd), according to the National Oil Corporation (NOC).
The pipeline, managed by Nafusah Oil Operations, aims to boost its capacity to 25,000 bpd, before stabilizing at 10,000 bpd in September as part of the first development phase, NOC stated.
The 50km pipeline, extending to Mellitah port, is designed to handle up to 70,000 bpd, NOC further noted.
