Eastern Libyan authorities deported 700 Sudanese migrants by land to Sudan last Friday, Africa News reported, citing the region’s migration directorate. The move is part of a broader crackdown on human trafficking led by forces loyal to commander Khalifa Haftar. Some deportees were reportedly ill or had criminal records. Libya remains a key transit point for migrants fleeing conflict, with over 240,000 Sudanese currently residing in the country.
