At the conclusion of the four-day China-Africa Cooperation Forum which focused on economic cooperation and global development, Libya raised its diplomatic and economic ties with China to a strategic partnership, signing an economic partnership agreement with China to boost cooperation in trade, investment, industrialization, and agricultural modernization. In a joint statement, the participants emphasized a commitment to deeper strategic coordination under the Global Development Initiative.
