Egypt unveils new desert city amid debt-fueled Megaprojects push
Egypt has announced plans to build a 1,680-acre desert city, Jirian, diverting 7% of its annual Nile water quota
Libya’s Law Enforcement Department announced it had increased its presence in “frontline areas” of the capital. According to local media, the move comes after the Ministry of Defense under the Government of National Unity, had said the situation in Tripoli was now stabilized after “unexpected movements” by armed elements. A statement released by the ministry said “immediate action was taken to contain the movements, with violating groups retreating to their previous positions without any escalation.”
