Libya has filed a complaint with the United Nations over Greece’s delineation of its Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) south of Crete, according to ekathimerini, a leading Greek daily newspaper. Tripoli claims the zone violates Libyan sovereignty and lacks legal basis. Greece dismissed the protest as relying on the contested Turkey-Libya maritime accord, which Athens says has no standing under international maritime law.
