Egyptian-UK activist on hunger strike, now ill in prison
AFP reports that British Egyptian activist Alaa Abdel Fattah has become sick after spending more than 50 days on hunger
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has announced that Libya will be among ten countries facing a reduction in the agency’s presence and operations. It comes amidst a $58 million budget shortfall, which is forcing the OCHA to cut 20% of its workforce. In addition to Libya, the reductions will affect Cameroon, Colombia, Eritrea, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan and Zimbabwe.
