Maghreb countries fear return of radicalized citizens after Assad’s fall

According to reports from the Libya Observer, Libya, Tunisia, and Algeria have decided to hold a tripartite meeting at the presidential level every three months, to “coordinate partnership and cooperation frameworks.”
The Algerian presidency announced, on Sunday, in a statement, that Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the President of Tunisia, Kais Saied, and the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, held a tripartite meeting, in which they reviewed the outcomes of the seventh summit of heads of state and government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, which was held in Algeria.
The meeting discussed the prevailing conditions in the Maghreb region and stressed the need to intensify and unify efforts to confront economic and security challenges, in a way that will benefit the peoples of the three countries positively.
According to the statement, it was decided to hold a tripartite Maghreb meeting every three months, the first of which will be in Tunisia after the holy month of Ramadan, next June.
