Libya’s House of Representatives Speaker, Aqila Saleh met with the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, the Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Stephanie Koury to discuss the developments of the Central Bank of Libya.
In a meeting held in Al-Qubba, the two sides urged the need to calm down the situation to ensure that work at the most important financial institution in the country is not adversely affected, and that the formation of the Central Bank’s Board of Directors moves ahead in accordance with the applicable legislation.
