Libya’s Deputy Defense Minister, Abdulsalam Al-Zoubi, met senior U.S. defense officials in Washington last week, marking the first Pentagon visit by a Libyan defense official in over ten years, according to the Libya Observer. Talks focused on military cooperation, training, and counterterrorism. Al-Zoubi will also attend the 2025 Special Operations Forces Week in Florida, part of Libya’s broader effort to modernize its defense institutions.
