Morocco’s Maroc Telecom reported a 5.9% drop in first-quarter profit on Friday, with declining domestic revenue offsetting growth in its African markets. Shareholder profit fell to 1.43 billion dirhams ($154 million), while consolidated revenue dipped 2% to 8.8 billion dirhams. Moroccan revenue slid 3.7%, but African operations (Moov Africa) rose 4.1%. The customer base grew 3.6% to 80 million.
