Mauritania looking for new gas developer as BP’s license expires

Mauritania is seeking a developer for its BirAllah offshore natural gas discovery after a license held by BP and Kosmos Energy expired 

Speaking to Bloomberg. Moustapha Bechir, technical adviser at the West African country’s Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Mines said the contract ended on April 29, “in accordance with the provisions of the contract, we are currently promoting the block for a new operator who shares our vision for the development.”
