Mauritania secured a $2 billion financing pledge from the Arab Coordination Group (ACG) during the OPEC High-Level Forum in Vienna, the group announced on Thursday. President Mohamed Cheikh El Ghazouani, guest of honor, met with OPEC Fund chief Abdulhamid Alkhalifa and AfDB president-elect Sidi Ould Tah before chairing a roundtable on Africa's economic transformation. The funding, spanning 2025-2030, will target energy, water, transport and digital infrastructure projects. The ACG includes the OPEC Fund, Saudi and Kuwaiti development funds and the Islamic Development Bank.
