Italian court upholds migration funding to IOM for Libya crisis
Italy's Lazio regional court upheld a 2019 government decision to allocate 2 million euros ($2.1 million) from
Mauritania is set to receive an additional $21.5 million in military assistance from the European Union (EU) and European Peace Facility (EPF). It follows previous measures of military support in December 2022 and July 2024. According to a statement, as reported by Defense Web, the funds are to “support the efforts of the Mauritanian armed forces to promote stability in the Sahel, counter the risk of destabilization and protect Mauritania’s territorial integrity and sovereignty of Mauritania.”
