Beginning January 5, international travelers will be able to apply for an electronic visa (e-Visa) to visit Mauritania. In a statement the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad announced that, as of January 5, 2024, all travelers required to obtain a visa must secure an e-Visa before boarding their flight to Mauritania.
