Italian court upholds migration funding to IOM for Libya crisis
Italy's Lazio regional court upheld a 2019 government decision to allocate 2 million euros ($2.1 million) from
Mauritanian authorities allowed a protest against Christians in Sélibaby last week, where demonstrators exhumed a Christian’s body and dragged it through the streets, rights group Middle East Concern (MEC) said. The April 7 rally, followed by online calls to burn Christian homes, left the minority fearful. An Islamist mob desecrated the grave before reburying the remains elsewhere. Local security chiefs were later fired. MEC warned tensions remain high amid ongoing anti-Christian rhetoric.
