Algeria pins its hopes on desert tourism to help diversify economy
As part of reforms required by the IMF to diversify its economy, Algeria is looking to greatly expand its tourism
Mauritania's former economy minister Sidi Ould Tah has been elected to succeed Nigeria's Akinwumi Adesina as president of the African Development Bank. Official results showed that Tah received 76.18 percent of votes in the third round. His closest challenger, Zambian economist Samuel Munzele Maimbo, was second on 20.26 percent.
