According to reports in Spanish media, Spain’s People’s Party (PP) will next week use a vote and debate in the Spanish Congress to attempt to block Spain ceding transfer of Sahara airspace over to Morrocco. The PP is looking to present a non-binding motion in the Foreign Affairs Committee. Negotiations began two years ago between the two countries over the issue of airspace control, after Spain shifted its position on the Sahara issue.
