Migrant flows from Libya to Greece resume

Migrant flows from Libya to Greece have resumed after a brief pause, with over 150 people rescued in two incidents on Friday, Greek authorities said. Frontex, aided by a Singapore-flagged cargo ship, rescued 113 migrants from three inflatable boats near Gavdos. Separately, the Greek Coast Guard intercepted a vessel carrying 39 migrants off Crete. All were safely transported to nearby ports. Greece and Libya are discussing ways to curb rising migration, while Athens prepares to vote on a bill allowing detention of rejected asylum seekers who overstay.
