Tunisia’s top union on collision course with President

Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, Head of the United Arab Emirates’ National Intelligence Service met with Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of Morocco’s National Security and Territorial Surveillance Tuesday, in Rabat, to review bilateral security ties, according to local media. In a joint statement from Morocco’s DGSN- DGST, the two countries assessed security coordination, as well as bolstering information exchange systems. Local Moroccan media went on to say that “the meeting provided an opportunity to assess the growing security challenges in Africa, namely in the Sahel-Saharan region, and review ways of concerting joint action to meet the regional challenges posed by terrorism, which has become a growing source of concern not only for neighboring countries, but also for global peace and security.”
