Moroccan and Syrian FMs hold key phone meeting

According to the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Monday, Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shibani received a phone call from Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita. Moroccan media are reporting that FM Bourita “reaffirmed Morocco’s support for the Syrian people, its support for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the common grounds between the two countries.” This phone call follows more than a decade of tense relations between the two countries.
