Morocco tourism surges 19% in first half of 2025
Morocco welcomed 8.9 million tourists in the first half of 2025, a 19% year-on-year increase, according to Morocco World
Nasser Bourita, Morocco’s Foreign Minister flew to Japan after meetings in China with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi. While in Japan, the Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yoko Kamikawa, expressed strong support for Morocco’s autonomy initiative aimed at resolving the Western Sahara dispute.
Kamikawa reiterated that the Moroccan autonomy initiative was a credible and serious effort to resolve the Western Sahara issue, reflecting a longstanding and stable position of the Japanese government.
