Moroccan gaming developers say they want to be Africa’s biggest

The first edition of the “Morocco Game Industry Fair” opened Friday in Rabat and it brought together some of the most creative minds in video game design and e-sports. Morocco’s Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid presided over the launch ceremony. The Minister stated that the video game industry has always been a vital element in Morocco, noting that it remains a different sector from others, mainly linked to youth, as its raw material is rooted in culture and creativity.
